At Kelly Dental Arts, patients are assured one on one, personalized dental care. Practice owners, Shawn and Dawn M. Kelly (née Poli), have been a part of the South Jersey dental community since 2003. It is their shared passion to making a difference in the lives of patients that is at the heart of the practice – something that is clear from the first telephone inquiry to each recurring appointment.
Kelly Dental Arts and its practice team are dedicated to being on the forefront of the dental profession with the latest technology and most advanced techniques. Yet, it is highly skilled hands-on care combined with commitment to on-going education and training that sets the practice apart from the rest.
Dr. Shawn Kelly has been practicing general dentistry since 2004. He graduated with honors from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) Dental School in 2004 and completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency the following year. Currently, Shawn is a member of the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, Southern Dental Society and Academy of General Dentistry. He is also active with the South Jersey Dental Study Club.
Prior to starting his own practice, Dr. Kelly honed his skills at a general dentistry practice in Cherry Hill while serving as a faculty member of UMDNJ and Director of the Community Oriented Dental Experience (CODE) program for senior dental students in Somerdale, NJ. Dr. Kelly brings a varied background to dentistry having studied engineering, serving in the United States Marine Corps as a field artillery cannoneer, and working in research for the FMC corporation.
A South Jersey native, Shawn attended Pitman High School and graduated from the Richard Stockton College with honors and program distinction in 1999. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and flying.
Dr. Dawn Kelly (Poli) began practicing general dentistry in 2009 and after several years as an associate in Voorhees, NJ, she and Dr. Shawn Kelly launched Kelly Dental Arts. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Dawn continued her education and received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in May 2009. During her 4th year of dental school, she enrolled in a clinical externship at the Dental Center at Somerdale where she was able to further her clinical skills.
Dawn is committed to constant learning and improvement of her skills through continuing education courses as well as active membership with the Academy of General Dentistry and American Dental Association. Like Shawn, she is also a member of the South Jersey Dental Study Club.
When not working, Dawn enjoys family time with their two children and vacationing in the Caribbean.
